The next step is to install insulation paper, also known as sarking paper. We install this for protection from extreme Tassie weather conditions whilst ensuring your home is energy efficient in holding warmth during winter and reflecting radiant heat in summer. Sarking reflects up to 95% of radiant heat entering the roof and ensures you’re protected from condensation.
Once the fundamentals of your roof are sound, we’re ready to load up the new tiles. We use a elevator system that provides safety, as well as making sure your new tiled roof is on in as quickly as possible.
Now, our
team of fully qualified tilers
get to work laying your new tiles. Tiles are laid from the gutter to the roof line with fixing clips/nails depending on the tile, to ensure they are secured to the roof. Once the new tiles are laid, we bed & point the ridges and edges of your roof to make sure it is perfectly straight. Bedding is mortar mixed with sand and cement providing the foundation of the ridge capping. Pointing is a flexible substance that encapsulates mortar, prevents it from cracking/falling out and is an exact colour match for your roof, we also use this to finish tiles at the gable ends so your new tiled roof is amazingly straight and sharp.
